I read an article in Mind Your Body today, about a guy who survived after having his cancerous kidney removed. In the last few lines of his article, he stated how he now finds joy in simple things.

What will it take us to realise that there's so much we can be grateful for and that there's so much simplicity that can make us happy?
Will it take us an encounter with death to do so?

Why can't we just START being happy, now?

I finally realise why this guy who usually takes my bus looks so familiar.

i really am grateful to Ms Lin for putting up bio revision worksheets on asknlearn, but each chapter consists of 8 pages, not including the answer sheets, and that amounts to at least 56 pages!

I feel so tired thinking about what's happened sometimes.
I mean, really, do you love like you say you do?

IF YOU LOVED SOMEBODY, IT MEANS THAT YOU NEVER REALLY DID LOVE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. BECAUSE, THERE IS NO PAST TENSE FOR LOVE.

When i say that i love somebody, I mean it.
Just because we aren't as close as friends anymore, or maybe it's even worse that we don't talk now, but still, i love you. I've never stopped loving them, as far as i'm concerned. I still care about them, the only difference being that it's a slightly different situation now.

FRIENDSHIP LOVE.

There's more than one kind of love. Which is precisely why it shouldn't be so hard to continue loving someone. I think that there are at least 7 types. Go google them yourselves.

Everybody should stop throwing the word love around. It's really getting on my nerves. The word is almost meaningless now. It's like inflation of money, but for WORDS.

Ignite today was really fun (:
There were new people that Gretel dragged for ignite.
Three boys who i assume are altar servers, and kimmy (keith's sister) and Candice.

We talked about humiliation during Ignite.
Just nice. I spent my whole week feeling humiliated and embarrassed. Heh.
To start off the session, we watched a 1minute clip from Sex&theCity where Carrie calls her to-be husband because he's not at the wedding and she's some famous girl in the big apple and has been on Vogue covers and such. It's her wedding day. Then this guy picks up the phone and tells her "I can't do it". She drops the handphone onto the floor. Then she screams at her bridesmaids, "get me out of here!"
So she gets in a cab with them, while her fiance is in another cab. Then, both cabs pass by each other, so they stop. Then, Carrie starts hitting him with her bouquet of flowers and screams "i'm so humiliated!".
I wanted to cry.Seriously.
Can you imagine how sad she is? She gets "dumped" on her wedding day and is humiliated because this is suppose to be the wedding of the year or something but now everyone will know that the groom didn't turn up. Oh, the poor dear ):

Kimberly was a bit like "wth jacq?" when i told her i wanted to cry. :/
Anyway, so we shared like our humiliating moments and from there, Aunty Pauline told us how humiliated Jesus was hanging on the cross, and also about how the apostles felt. She read it from a piece written by some priest.
It was a good piece of writing.

Walked out of church with Kim and we stopped at the exact same spot on the pavement as the day before. But, this time, we didn't sit down and talk, we took polaroids! hahaha. I know, it's so spastic, but oh well (:

Oh yes, i forgot to mention that i attended 730 mass with Kim today (:
She wore a dress and i wore a skirt.
She wore her wedges and grew at least two inches. I felt really unnerved. :P

I felt really pretty today, mind you :>
And i am a happy girl!

Also went swimming in the afternoon after i got back from church, but nothing much to talk about there. (:

I was almost late for cat that week, but good thing i wasn't in the end! :D
Hate being late for cat, it's like the most humiliating thing ever...

We planned our projects for CARE that day.
I'm in the video committee with Andrea, Raphael, Samantha, John Paul and Ryan.
I think that's all...

So stressful!! Exams coming and we also have to do our part for CARE.

Anyway, we lighted the cakes for Mads & Rowena after cat (;
It was so funny because we made Maddie and Wena stay in the toilet, then blindfolded them all the way out. AND THE BEST PART, is that we gave them a never ending candle. Rowena took foreverrrr to blow out hers! lol :D

Gave one to Maddie as a birthday present, hee!

Then talked in the canteen with Grace and Kim for really really long.
And when we finally decided to go off, me and Kim walked to the place around near NUS high school and we still didn't want to go home. So we continued talking and ended up sitting on the pavement! hahaha. Very retarded, but who cares ?(:

I think, that this week is my most humiliating week ever.

Okay, so monday was my emo day, coughcough, i have reasons for why i was depressed, but i shall not disclose them here. Anyway, i think that the only reason i didn't do anything embarrassing was probably because i was too depressed.. Heh.

Tuesday was the day of the Epic Math Lesson.

Wednesday was Epic Assembly day.
We had some cosmetic talks thing by this person who had horrendous english, and poor Rachel Giam had to be her guinea pig for the make up.
So after the whole thing, we were suppose to thank/applaud that person-with-horrendous-english and for some unknown reason, i stood up, and Mrs Fern gave me a very confused look. I stood there for like 3 seconds in a totally confused state, and after i figured what i did wrong and sat back down, Hevina, Fionna, Clar, Jun and Chloe proceeded to laugh at me, and they have been bugging me about it ever since. :/

Today was Epic Bio&Amath day.
After recess, i thought it was bio, because i saw Renee in our class, so i took my bio book and walked over to 3DY. I left my bio book on Nads table (because i sit with her in bio), and then walked out of the class either because i left something behind or because i needed to pee (i think it was the second one). Just as i stepped out of the class, i heard Siti shout, "Jacq, it's english now, NOT BIO!!". I was like, "Really?? OH SHIT!" Then i ran into their class to retrieve my bio books from Nads' table, and as if on cue, Nadira who was standing near Denise's table proceeded to turn around and laugh her head off at me. :/

So, because of the whole bio thing, i was definitely late for amath. I walked up to the Maths Room with Fionna, and saw that there were quite a lot of people inside and i thought i saw Ms Tan. I then proceeded to -dare is say it- barge into the room, and upon doing so. I paused and took a look around realising that they were sec4s, and that the teacher wasn't Ms Tan. So i ran out of the room and sat on the floor outside the Maths Room with Fionna, and two of us laughed at how awkward it all was.

I wonder what embarrassing things may happen tomorrow. Oh dear :S

Parents brought us to walk the suspension bridge and all from hort park to henderson waves (:
Mom made us wake up at 0630 because she said that she didn't want to be walking about when the sun was bright. Ergh.
So anyway, i think we reached at like 0745 or something, maybe even 0800, but the sun was up, and it was a lil hot.
We walked a lot. Like seriously, a lot.

I think we walked a total of like 5km today.
Very, very tiring.
It was kinda fun though, because daddy let me use his dslr when he had to take some calls, and then i didn't want to give it back.

I also watched some other stuff, but i realise that Taylor Swift's music videos are usually my favourites because her videos tell a story, and sometimes i feel like i can really relate to the things that she writes about in her songs, like how she feels and all that.
Mine by Taylor Swift is my all-time favourite. I swear that nothing can beat that :>

She's like really awesome and all.

So, the grandmother went away for some business trip, and Megan had to stay and Chaperone the pool party the two girls were throwing. Then during the party, Seige's (the tall one in the purple dress) friends spiked her drink with some muscle don't-know-what pill, and then Seige had an awful break out.

Rose (the one in the pink dress) asked Megan to invite her older sister, Lily (the one sitting on the chair at the right side) to come to the pool party even though they were like having a tiff at the moment.

Then Megan started being nice to Lily again, until Rose's diamond studded bracelet, which she calls her tennis bracelet, went missing. Megan went up to Lily and really gave it to her. Lily then walked out of the party because she was tired of being accused and stuff.

Then Charlie (the guy who is standing next to Lily in the picture), tried to figure out who spiked Seige's drink, and found it was these two girls who were supposedly Seige's best friends. They got into a cat fight, and Charlie tried to stop them. Then Megan came in and gave them a "lecture" about being friends and she used Charlie as an example. Then the girls said that Megan sounded like she was talking about a dog.

Charlie got really depressed and was like talking to the butler (black guy next to Megan in the picture) and then he was like, "i missed my chance didn't i". Which is like so sad for him, cos he's her best friend and she's like dating another guy now, and he never told her how much he liked her. Poor guy.

Rose told Megan that she may have lent her bracelet to a friend and was super sorry about it, then Megan ran out of the house to apologise to Lily, but Lily said that "sorry from you, doesn't mean anything". Which is really sad for Megan..

Then after the whole party, at night, Seige and Rose were watching tv, and Megan came in and they talked about having friends and sisters. Then Megan went to sleep, and Seige reminded Rose to call her "friend". Then i realised that Rose really didn't lend her friend the bracelet, she just said she did so that Megan could apologise to Lily and hopefully things between them would work out. But that means that the bracelet was still lost, of course.

OMG AND THE LAST SCENE IS SO FREAKING EPIC, I WAS LIKE OMGWTFKBBQSDKNMFLKDSNF !
It was Lily and her boyfriend at some club. Then they were saying they could outdrink each other. So Lily's boyfriend went to get more tequila or alcohol or something. And then Lily's like rummaging through her purse, she takes out lipstick, compact, and then she pauses, and you expect her to take out something like a photograph of when she and Megan were small, or something like that. But then she pulls out the diamond bracelet, and you're like WTF she really stole it, and yet she made it sound as if Megan was so mean to her. STUPID BITCH ZOMG.

Hahaha, super stupid lols.
But i really like that show.

I don't know, but i'm so scared of rejection, and also because it isn't like i can be in a relationship now. Haha. ever wondered why our juniors don't have the red cross spirit?
like how we used to all feel this pull to come for red cross every week even though we are sometimes sick, how we don't want to be casualties and take part in punishments even though we are not 100% well. How easy it was for us to look up to and respect our seniors. It was something that they didn't have to ask of us, do you remember?

After all the sombre passing of roles from one batch to another, didn't it feel like something was amiss. As if something that belonged to the previous batch had left with them. Doesn't it feel that way?

Is it really the juniors fault for not knowing how to love red cross?
Or is it because, we haven't been showing them...

I myself, even as a senior now, don't feel the need to be there for them.
But still i drag myself there every single thursday, because i've seen a difference in a few of them, a difference strong enough to remind me of how much fun all this used to be.

Something is missing.
This cca is just a cca.
There's no spirit of love for it anymore.

Remember how in sec1, we blamed ourselves for the dismiss of punishments which left our seniors in tears, how we were afraid to lose the bond from within our level due this minor setback, do you remember?
I complained that we could have been like the guides without punishments, but then, i was wrong.

The guides have a love for their cca, for what they do.
What about us?

We are worse than them.
Clearly.

If we can't show the juniors how to love red cross, how can they love it too?
Just by saying it out loud, and acknowledging that they don't have a love for it doesn't change anything.

We, as a level, have no bond.
You might say i'm wrong, and that's fine with me.
But really, look at yourselves, the way we treat each other.
Tell me, there's no cooperation and love in this level, not anymore.
